Missile Range 1960-1962

RCA Service Company

I worked for RCA as an Electronic Technician after my tour of duty in the Navy.

I was stationed on Carter Cay and Allan Cay. We had a crew of approximately

80 on Carter's Cay and a crew of 2 on Allan's Cay, just me and one other guy.

Carter Cay 1961 - This shot was from the Radar Boresite Tower on Big Carter Cay

The 400 ft tower in the center was the microwave tower. The building and tower in the background (left side) was another Cay that I can't recall the name. I first worked at the LORAC site on that island that we had to take a boat over and back each day.  The building to the left of the big tower was the communications equipment building that I worked at later.  The big building on the left was the old timers and management barracks that I stayed in when I was made Leader and I had a private room.
